Daystar - O'Day 40

The O'Day 40 was originally designed by French IOR designer Phillip Briand for Jeanneau and sold as the Sun Fizz. Some modifications (mainly interior and most notably the large aft cabin with king-size berth) resulted in the O'Day 40. Day Star is a good all-around sailer, on the performance end of the cruising-boat spectrum.

Roller furling with 135% reefable genoa, mainsail with 2 reefs and lazy jacks, self tailing winches, dodger, wheel steering; Danforth anchor on bow roller, Delta anchor, teak cockpit table, cockpit cushions; swim ladder; propane grill; hard-bottom dinghy with outboard; Lifesling, safety equipment as required by US Coast Guard for coastal cruising.

Electronics
VHF radio; knotmeter with log, depthsounder, wind instruments; Loran, Chartplotter at helm, Radar interfaced with GPS visible from helm; AM/FM stereo with CD; 12 volt power with 120-volt shore power.
