New Teak Deck for a Little Harbor 38

Winter 2009/2010 Project

Our new customer and owner of Passavant, a Little Harbor 38 came to us back in the summer of 2009 wanting to replace the old teak on the deck with the new TeakDecking System.

Then we totally stripped the old teak and installed new teak deck from TeakDecking Systems.

Several other repairs jobs include varnish, mechanical and electrical work; replaced main halyard, auto bilge pump and carpentry work to galley cabinets.

Here's what the owners had to say about their experience:

Dear Peter and Mary,

“I wanted to say thank you for another well prepared launch of Passavant. The boat was in great shape, the varnish impeccable, the rigging taut and the systems all worked flawlessly. The engine ran smoothly without a trace of overheating and the new porcelain throne flushes effortlessly. Please extend my gratitude to your entire crew.

Also after a season’s worth of sun the decks are starting to weather nicely. I have attached a photo that you might add to your website. If a prospective client ever needs a reference I would be happy to provide one and I will continue to recommend Johanson Boatworks to others.

In the fifteen years we’ve owned a boat I have never been able to literally step onboard and start cruising right away as I have these past two years. I look forward to dropping the boat off again next fall, so we can continue to receive your stellar services.

As a partner in Wilson Butler Architects, if it helps, you can say we design Cruise Ships. I see a lot of construction on marine projects, so I recognize and appreciate good workmanship.”

Best regards,
Scott

Passavant will be stored with us again this year.
