Our Staff

The Johanson Boatworks team is comprised
of many talented individuals. Most have worked in the marine
industry for
many years and in a few instances several members of the
crew have worked together on projects prior to coming on
board at Johanson Boatworks. This history combined with
respect and trust for each other makes for a very capable
crew. We feel fortunate to offer this expertise and knowledge
to you for your boat repair / construction needs. Provided
below are profiles of selected staff, but every person
in our crew plays an important role in offering quality
and
value to our customers.

Peter Johanson: Founder
and president of the company, Peter has been involved in
almost every aspect of boat repair and maintenance in his
more than twenty five years with Johanson Boatworks. He is
respected by even the most discerning customers for his in
depth knowledge of boats and boat systems. Sound decision
making and an honest, efficient approach to boat repair have
gained him an impeccable reputation and a large customer
following. |

Wayne Corney: Wayne
has been part of the Johanson Boatworks team for many years
and has played an instrumental role in many of the successes
which the company has obtained. A skilled and talented craftsman
we are fortunate to have him as a member of our team. His
contributions include fine cabinetry work, new deck installations,
custom repairs and redesigns on countless carpentry projects,
furniture fabrication, mechanical systems, rigging, and yacht
delivery. |

Douglas "Tug" Kellough: Tug
has been part of our crew for many years and most recently
has been working primarily with implementing the construction
of our custom yachts. Tug is very good at taking the "paper
plan" to completion in efficient, useable layout of
bulkheads, windows, cabinetry etc. He is very knowledgeable
of boat systems, has captained many boat deliveries, and
is versatile in his skills and has assisted in many of the
ongoing boat repair and construction projects in the yard.
A natural teacher, he has proved beneficial in training newer
members
of the
crew. |

Kendall Rogers: Peter
and Kendall first worked together in the 80's producing Cook
11 frostbite dinghies of which there were over 100 built.
Kendall owned and operated North Pond Canoe & Fiberglass
at that time. He later worked at Maine Cat and Padebco Custom
Boats. Kendall is an expert in fiberglass construction and
structural repair and is completely thorough when put to
task. We are pleased to have him heading up our fiberglass
department. |

David Jones "Jonesy": Jonesy
has been working as a mechanic and then marine mechanic for
over 20 years. He has earned service certificates from Ryder,
Yanmar, Westerbeke, Southworth Milton, and ABBRA for Advanced
Diesel Marine Mechanic. He has taken courses on SEAFROST
refrigeration systems, ESPAR heaters and has attended many
more seminars and classes throughout the years. Through his
extensive working knowledge of service to re-power to new
design he has gained the reputation for being the one of "the
best" marine mechanics in the area and we are proud to
have him in our crew. |
