Johanson Boatworks is a full service yacht yard offering repairs, storage, and new construction, and complete restorations. Also specializing in installing new teak decks, J-Boat repairs and Engine installations & Rebuilds. We are a Beta Marine Engine Dealer. Our Midcoast Maine facility is located on Route 90 (Farwell Drive) in Rockland, Maine. With over 25 years experience in multiple facets of boat repair and construction, our highly trained crew provides fine workmanship with competitive pricing. We are committed to the goal of providing quality work and attentive maintenance to every yacht placed in our care.
In addition, Johanson Boatworks also offers a variety of fine vessels for bareboat Maine yacht charters which we store and maintain. The fleet is based in Rockland Harbor, at the heart of Midcoast Maine's spectacular cruising ground Penobscot Bay and consists of sailboats and motor yachts.
Johanson Boatworks maintains compliance with all State of Maine Environmental and OSHA safety mandated regulations. In conjunction with our written SWPPP (Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan) we offer our environmentally approved boat bottom washing system.
On Dec. 12th, 2012, we received the Safety & Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) award from the State of Maine Department of Labor and OSHA. We are the 58th SHARP site in Maine, and there are currently 47,000 worksites in the State of Maine. Countrywide we are one of approx. 1800 SHARP sites. This safety recognition program is achieved when a company meets the safety compliance criterion set forth by OSHA.
